You know, being Persephone so reactionary but also so nostalgic of grecorroman antiquity, have you thought about her landing on the Athenian democracy period?
On one hand, she is right on Classical Greece, the very moment where all the achievements and cultural might Ancient Greece is famous for are on full bloom.
On the other hand, she is in the same period the concept of democracy, "rule of the people", is manifesting in Athens, which it's legacy and influence throughout history would lead to the more modern republican and liberal ideals she hates so much.
What would Persephone do about it?
I haven't though of having her landing there largely due to not wanting to over stretch my imagination if that makes any sense.
In short I can tell you her most likely course of action is would be align herself with the Spartans in opposition to Athens although she would have a long road to travel even with her telepathy since Classical Greece had horrible views on women even in Sparta which treated them better then Athens not be seen or heard attitude.
She would find classical Athens democracy extremely hypocritical especially with it could easily banish people and take their property and was in effective still a plutocracy in many ways, the way it ran the Delian League would also piss her right off. Persephone herself if something on an unintentional hypocrite but the absolute two faced behavior of democratic yet imperial Athens would really annoy her on a fundemental level.
Oddly enough she might not be entirely opposed to some level of democratic or republican insitutions eg the Roman Senates under the Western Empire and Eastern Empire or some local level self governance eg mayors and the like. It's the higher and wider scale shit she doesn't like because in her eyes it doesn't work.
I think I asked you before for a general outline of the Napoleonic Era Persephone, but I don't remember you told me that outline in the end.
Oh my bad sorry about that, I was waiting for you to reply to my previous response. As far as outlines go here is a short one that establishes all the main points.
Persephone arrives during the Reign of Terror phase of the French Revolution and being a stubborn reactionary who finds republicanism and democratic ideals flawed concepts goes out of her way to derail everything. Persephone being Persephone this quickly makes a mess of the established timeline but unlike with Byzantium in the aftermath of Manzikert she is out of her element due to not speaking French or having a particular fascination with it's history or culture like she does her ancestral motherland (Greece).
She topples Robespierre but this being by her own hand rather then him going to far prevents the Thermidorian Reaction and furthers the chaos of the revolutionary period as the supporters of Robespierre become more radical and so do the catholic royalist opposition to the republic leading to the deaths of quite a few figures involved in the future of the Napoleonic Era including the Bonaparte himself.
Having made a mess Persephone has to take it upon herself to deal with the chaos and eventually rises up herself as Empress after crushing the republicans and having fallen out with the royalist whose support for what she considered a failed dynasty and staunch catholism disgusted her, Having effectively become a usurper in the eyes of Europe she faces the same committed opposition that Napoleon did from the rest of the continent and is forced into the protracted Persephonean Wars to secure her rule.
Unlike Napoleon she wins and forces a peace while redrawing the borders of Europe within her sphere of influence, pulling the majority of the German and Italian states into her colossal and monolithic 1st European Empire with the other states tied to it as tributaries and client kingdoms Roman style since she starts emulating the (Latin) Roman Empire of Octavian.
Fast forward three hundred years and her descendants have made a mess of things with the monstrous and totalitarian European Empire in a steady decline into stagnation and decay ala the late Soviet Union while facing increasing challenges from the resurgent Russian Empire, Qajar Iran and the biggest threat of all rogue East India Trading Company which survived and outlasted the collapse of the British Empire with the invasion of the Isles and the American conquest of Canada during an analogue to 1812.
The world is split between the European and East Indian blocks with Russia recently returning to strength and upsetting the applecart ala Maoist China in the 70's. Various regional conflicts and nasties about like the Necromechanical nightmare that is the Carolina Confederation or the madness of the Congolese Raj that broke off from the Brazilian Empire and so on.
